We work to galvanize leaders focused on improving specific aspects of health to form a field of experts. It requires understanding the disparate needs of experts, careful audience building and convenings that build community. Here are two examples:
- We helped launch a community of clinicians and community health workers focused on providing care to people with complex health and social needs, a group that within a few years has become a robust and recognized field. We’re now undertaking a similar project for people working in health systems responsible for diversity, equity, and inclusion—a field that includes people working in clinical care, community relations, human resources, and elsewhere.
- We developed an online hub to align people working in healthcare, social services and public health. More than 60,000 users access online resources a year and more than 600+ ‘alignment practitioners’ joined online events to discuss working together to shift power, center communities and build accountability.
